The issues with Jeffree Star aren’t just about him being “problematic” and it’s not just “drama.” Calling out someone for being a racist isn’t a “personal issue.” Honestly, if you only care about the fact that his logo was stolen (which has been paid for now) and you do not care about the fact that he literally threatened a black beauty blogger by saying he would “beat [her] to the motherfucking ground” (like… what the actual fuck!), that he poses with people in blackface, or that he made a video where he yells at people of color on the streets calling them “poor Mexicans,” “apes,” and using the n-word: You are the problem!
I cannot handle to see people reblogging trying to say, “oh it’s just drama, it doesn’t matter!” If you are saying you are not racist, that you want racism to end, and that you do not believe in racism, you need to also stand up and say to Jeffree Star: “Your racist behavior is unacceptable and until you make amends for it, apologize, and unlearn your racism I will not support you.”
Even if these were the best liquid lipsticks on the face of the planet and they were only $5, you do not NEED to support him. You do not NEED to help fuel his never-ending thirst for leather purses & shoes, lol. We already say no to many things because we find them immoral as vegans. I promise you, you can do it. In the end, we will all make our own decisions, but please do not diminish the importance of speaking out against racists/violent people.
